Nicolas Potel Bourgogne, 2011

Ok, it’s a few days later and as suspected this wine has mellowed nicely and lost that obvious youthfulness. In fact four days open in the bottle and a delicious duo of pork has helped it turn into a ‘real’ wine!!

Not as light as I would have imagined, in fact surprisingly quite medium bodied, with deep earthy flavours (but only I noticed WITH the food!??!) I have another bottle in the cellar, and at less than £7:00 I have a good feeling this will turn out to be a bargain – providing I leave it there a little longer this time…!
