Bodega la Milagrosa Milcampos Viñas Viejas, 2009

Despite the Gaudiesque label, this wine is excellent. Another example of great value, great quality wines coming out of Spain at the moment.

A little on the lighter bodied side of things, but smooth and juicy with a lovely spicy complexity that is excellent with food.

“The 2009 Milcampos is 100% Tempranillo sourced from vines over 50 years of age. Mineral, spice box, tobacco, espresso, and blackberry aromas compose the nose of this round, pleasure- bent wine that finished with no hard edges. Drink it over the next 6-8 years. It is an excellent value. ”

Fine + Rare, £11.49
